Dell did updated some mouse drivers a few months ago I don't know if yours is among them. Head on over to Dell's Drivers & Downloads page (- short version: - case counts!), put in your Service Tag (it's on a sticker on your laptop), and see if there are any updated drivers. ![]() Next, make sure your drivers are up to date. Make sure the laptop is off, and then clean the touchpad using the same cleaner you use on the screen. Even if you don't eat or drink around your laptop, the nature oil from your fingertips can cause a lessening of sensitivity. Usually if I hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete to get to the list with Task Manager, and then go back (without actually going into Task Manager), the cursor works again.Īnswer: There are a couple of things you can try, John. I unclicked the graphics performer in AutoCAD as I read that that helped, but it didn't do much. ![]() I subscribe to Microsoft 365 and AutoCAD LT so they are always up-to-date. Perhaps you can help: my cursor gets very sticky, and sometimes freezes, especially in AutoCAD LT when I am using "trim," but also in Word, and other programs. I have a 2105 Dell XPS with i7 and Windows 10 factory loaded.
